Neil Wilson has worked in the broadcast industry since graduating with a BSc Joint Honours degree in Applied Physics and Electronics in 1978.  A very experienced broadcast engineer, he initially trained at the BBC and worked as a studio engineer at Television Centre, and subsequently at leading UK Facilities companies TVI, Moving Picture Company, 021 Television and Carlton , becoming Director of Engineering for Carlton Television between 1983 and 1993. 
Neil was responsible for the video design on the BSkyB Studio 6 and Studio 7 HD projects, and was also the systems engineer on those projects. Since then, he has designed and installed an HD studio for NOS in Hilversum , and has designed and installed numerous HD OB trucks.
He has extensive operational studio and OB experience , including the 2006 Ryder Cup for Sky Sports at the K-Club, Ireland which was the first large scale live sports HD OB .
